First of all, welcome to Legacy! And since you’ve gotten this far, thank you for reading the rules too and not just diving straight into something you aren’t sure about. Since all sites have mostly the same rules it might seem that you don’t need to read all of these, but you do, because the slightest difference could make friction. It won’t take long to read the rules, and there aren’t a lot. So please just take the time to do so. =]
This is a literate + site, so that means that there is a 450 word limit to each and every one of your IC RP posts. I understand the occasional writers block, but if it starts to happen too often I’m going to assume you’re getting lazy. If you think our word limit is too high, then this isn’t the place for you, which sucks, because whoever you are, we all love you. If you think it’s going to be a challenge, then why not join? There was a time when I posted one liners and now I’m well into my 1000’s posts. Everyone has to start somewhere, so why not here?
Since this is a literate site, grammar and spelling is also important. I’m not going to crucify you if you spell a word wrong, but seriously, who spells psychopath ‘sikopaf’, if I see a major error like that I think I’ll loose my little mind, so to prevent your otherwise friendly admin from becoming a raging lunatic, use the spell checker! Now, onto punctuation. Use it! If you don’t it gets confusing and its untidy and generally icky. Also, Dnt tYp lyK a TtL rTrD! And please, for the love of cheese, put a capital after a full stop! Was that not the most basic rule of writing? I think so.
Now, to start off here, all you need to do is fill out an application form. They are lovely and easy and they don’t bite, so go do it! =] Please don’t post it if you know its wrong, because that’s just a complete waste of time and effort. And if you even think of posting an unfinished one, I think I’ll eat your face, and then delete the post. We are not a storage site! If you have NO possible way to save it on your own PC, then PM it to yourself! It’s not that difficult to keep Legacy clean, so your contribution would be highly appreciated. If your application is rejected, you will have one week to fix it up before it is deleted. Once your application is accepted, you can go all willy nilly on the boards and post anywhere you like, prior to acceptance, you can’t. Sorry.
We are all equal, so I don’t want to see any OOC fights. Fighting is immature and it makes you look like five year olds. You don’t want that do you? If I see any fights going on, I will delete the thread or whatever it is and I will ban both of you (or all of you if it is) for at least three days. I know it doesn’t sound like a long time, but trust me it gets annoying after a while. If you and another member don’t agree with each other, then do the simple thing and just ignore each other, its that simple. Works like magic, try it. Oh and I almost forgot. To prove that you have read all of these sparkly rules, please put the following words at the end of your application. ‘So here I stand in all my splendor and shining glory’.
Your avatar and signature must please be of your character. I don’t want to see your characters pet goldfish or your solid gold hair brush. I want to see your character, and not too much of your character, keep that in mind. I don’t want to see any nudity what so ever. Ladies, watch those nipples, keep them covered up. Anything too extreme for my taste will be removed. Signatures can be any size really, just not too big, maximum width is 450px, and maximum length is 500px. If you stretch the board I will throw muffins at you.
Other than all of the above, this is a site made purely for enjoyment. So please enjoy it. The staff worked hard on this place, to make it the site that it is right now. So we’d love some praise every now and then. Haha, I joke I joke. But it is really nice to see an active site with lots of members all having a grand time. It makes us feel all proud and stuff like that.
