During WWII, hundreds of parents sent their children away from their homes due to the danger of bombing. The children were sent to the countryside to be protected and sheltered from the terrible events happening around the world. Family members could hardly contact one another, as they hardly knew where their family was! The best one could do was hope and pray that his loved ones were unharmed and safe, however many times they were not.
England and their allies decided they needed a secret weapon if this war was to continue. They needed something that the ‘other side’ would not even imagine. So they set up an academy in a little corner of the English countryside which only admitted evacuated children who showed a certain… promise.
'The Academy' was the center of government experiments. As the children entered the castle, they were sent to a room and given a potion, of sorts. The liquid gave the child an ability, however the ability could not be known until the child drank the formula. It merely enhanced a feature the child already had.
The Academy is now training a wide assortment of students. Some can read minds, others have super strength, even others can control some sort of natural element. The staff at the academy have their hands full, as they cannot possibly prepare themselves for what will come.
Children ranging from ages ten to seventeen come to the academy in search of not only a place to learn, but also a distraction from the war which surrounds them. The school is top secret; not even the parents knew where they were sending there children. Whether they like it or not, the children are stuck here. They are not permitted to leave until they have finished their education.
So when you are sent away from your family and friends and into the unknown, will you have the opportunity, or misfortune, of choosing this academy, and joining the other children of war?PG-13 :: rating
