PERSONALITY:
Sweetheart- "a generous, friendly person." That right there is the biggest part in her entire personality. She's a very giving, and kind person. She hates the feeling of being rude, or generally not nice. It makes her feel guilty, and sad. Jace is the kind of girl you could go to for anything you need, whether it's a small loan or otherwise. She'll always have your back.
Charitable- "generous in donations or gifts to relieve the needs of indigent, ill, or helpless persons." Once every month, Jace will donate ten dollars from her pay check to feeding kids in Africa. It may not seem like a lot of money, but it really will add up in the long run. Or, at least, she hopes it'll help. If only a little bit. This has been a habit of hers for a little over a year now, and she's incredibly happy about it.
Motherly- "in the manner of a mother." Jace has a thing for taking care of people. If they're sick, she'll get their medicine for them, if one of her gal pals is their period, she'll buy them tampons, and so on. She doesn't really try to be this way, she just is. She always has been. Her own mother use to joke that even when she was little she was already fit to be a mom.
Optimistic- "a believer in philosophical optimism." Every day is a new day to Jace. She will not let something bad that happened earlier in the week make her feel down for the rest of it. If you were to ask her if the glass was half empty, or half full her answer will always be 'half full'. She's just that kind of person. She hates thinking on the down side of things, as it makes her a very sad person.
Intelligent- "having the ability to reason or understand." While she may not be the smartest person in her math class, that doesn't mean she's totally incompetent. She has the ability to think things through logically, and reason. While she typically tends to rely on emotions, she won't do it automatically. She does think before she acts.
Romanticist- "romantic spirit or tendency." She is a hopeless romantic, as cliché as it is. However, she is also romantic. Just like a boy giving their girl a single rose, Jace does cute things for her boyfriends too. She'll give them gifts they've been hoping for, saying simply darling things to them, and things such as this. She does have a tendency to fall fast and hard, and often gets her heart broken.
Lively- "animated, spirited, vivacious, or sprightly." She always seems to be moving, or doing something, and she always seems to be happy about it. She could be in the middle of a test and simply smile all the way through it. It's like she's always motivated by something to do anything in the world. If she thought she could fly, she would probably be testing it out, and land on the ground laughing about how fun it was.
Envious- " resentful, jealous, covetous." While she rarely expresses it, she is a very jealous person. There are many things she wishes she could have, that others do. She can also get jealous about her boyfriends and such, and hates seeing them hang out with other women. While she understands that guys can be friends with girls, it's just this instinct she has. She'll confront them if she thinks anything suspicious is going on. This is usually why she gets dumped and what not.

HISTORY:
Crap, I hate writing histories. Oh well.
Age 1- A year ago a little baby girl was born in Spain, and for her entire 12 months she lived there. Then, a few weeks after her first birthday, her mother, father, and four year old sister packed up and moved to the United States. It's unclear to Jace why they moved, but she figures it had something to do with family matters, and her parents not wanting any part in it. It doesn't really matter to her, though she is curious. She also finds it peculiar that she doesn't know a lick of Spanish, and that her mother and father never taught it to her.
Age 2- Again, at this age she doesn't remember anything. Her family was broke, and homeless, hardly getting enough food. Her father and mother had never attended college, and dropped out early in high school. They had no education to get them any where. Jace was constantly sick, and they had no money for a doctor. They had taken her to a free clinic, and said she had something called Croup. An illness that makes it hard to breathe at times. They gave her medication, and it went away. But it always came back. It caused her to have the asthma she has now.
Age 3- Again, no memory. Her mother and father, at this time, were working to get their G.E.D.'s. Jace and her sister Melissa were placed into a temporary foster home for one year. Jace didn't know anything about what was going on, all she wanted was her parents. Melissa was pissed, and hated the foster parents and was constantly throwing tantrums. Melissa was constantly spanked, and Jace was set in a corner for crying. They didn't like it there.
Age 4- She has one memory, and that was meeting up with her parents again. It's a blurry memory, but she does recall a few things. Like being back in her mother arms after a long period of time, and everyone being incredibly happy. They had also gotten an apartment, it was dirty, and at times scary, but they had a roof over their heads, and food in their tummy's every night. She was a happy toddler.
Age 5- Jason began schooling at this age. She immediately fell in love with it, and she began to make friends faster than ever. She loved everyone, and absolutely adored the attention she got. Then one day a jealous little girl started a rumor that Jace still peed herself at night, and mostly everyone alienated her that year, aside from a few kids. Of course, they all grew out of that the following year, but Jace wasn't as social.
Age 6- This was about the time Jace figured out she loved to run. You see, every year her elementary school held what they called "Mini Olympics". Jace was put on a relay team, where she had to run one lap around the play ground. She ran as fast as she could, and her team ended up winning the Mini Olympics, and got tiny plastic medals. She loved it, and kept it up every year.
Age 7- Jace was very disappointed with herself this year because she had broken her arm, and couldn't do P.E. for a whole six weeks. She pouted the entire time, and complained that she could still run, but the doctors said no. She was reduced to writing a paragraph every day during that time. After about a week of doing that, she got extremely bored and pissed off. She preceded to have a race with her kindergarten friends. Being the little thing she was, she cast threw off her balance, and she ended up breaking her arm a second time. She listened to the doctor after that.
Age 8 through 11- Her parents had gotten enough money to move out of their crappy apartment and into a nice one. Why? Well, because. Her parents had opened up a salon. Her father was the owner, her mother the co-owner/beautician. Jace was ecstatic every time she could go into the salon, and play with all the beauty supplies, and spend time with her parents. What she loved the most were the family days when her parents closed the shop down, and they would play twister and other games all day long.
Age 12- Little Jace started to become a woman, and got her first bra. She was incredibly embarrassed, and she thought it was very uncomfortable, but she was happy she finally got one. The other girls in her class had already gotten theirs the previous year, and were constantly making fun of her for not having one when they dressed out for P.E. Now they had nothing to laugh about, and became nice little girls.
Age 13- Uh-oh, Jace got her period. She was just happy it was when she was grocery shopping with her mom, and not when she was at school. This was also the year her family bought a home, and for the first time, Jace got her own room. She was thrilled and began decorating it with posters of her favorite bands, short stories, photos, and everything. This was the beginning of the her you see today.
Age 14- A few of her friends and her were at a pond. It was just behind her house, and had a covering of trees. It was deep enough to dive into, but shallow enough to swim to the bottom of it. Being the teenagers they were, they were playing "Dare". It's basically truth or dare with the the truth. When it came to Jace's turn to dare a friend, she told him to jump off the highest tree branch that would support him. Being foolish, he accepted the dare, and jumped. He ended up panicking, tensing up, and when he hit the water, he also hit against a rock. He shattered his spine, and passed away. She could never shake the feeling that it was her fault, even after her friends told her it wasn't. That it was just bad luck. She doesn't let her rule her life, or let it hang like a shadow. She'll just find herself thinking back on it every now and then.
Age 15 through 16- You've now reached the present! Hoorah!
