PERSONALITY:
From having such a neglected childhood, Kathryn struggles to keep her hopes up all the time and to appear optimistic in front of others. She hates having to fake her happiness as it usually comes out as the complete opposite of what she attempts to recreate. In everyday life a memory from her younger years can quickly flood her mind and destroy all previous moods that she was in and replace them with misery. However, despite this constant pessimism that seems to stream from the eighteen year old, Kitty can be quite a fun loving person. When she is with her few close friends she will be laughing and smiling and generally brightening the entire room up. It's quite the opposite of her depressive moods that she can fall into.

Kathryn's temper is not one to be messed with. She finds it hard to keep calm in stressing situations and will yell just to relieve the growing tension. She hates being told to be quiet or to listen to what other people say, and that is generally a common trigger to unleashing her temper. If she's already in a bad mood and someone says just one little thing to her she will lose it big time, snapping and shouting at the poor victim. Patience ties in with tempers, and Kitty's patience is very low. She hates having to wait for things and finds it rather tedious. She believes that everything should be there, ready and waiting, when you want it to. Unfortunately the world doesn't exactly work that way.

She is incredibly loyal. Despite the fallings out with her family, and the occasional arguments with her friends, she will still protect them to the maximum. She hates people badmouthing her family, and teasing her because she's adopted. In the past she has flipped out and punched the girl who remarked on her adoption status, breaking the poor girls nose. If anyone badmouths her friends and she's in hearing distance she will freak out and start being sarcastic to the wrong doer. This sarcasm will eventually lead to bitching and making the poor persons life hell.

Kathryn flirts. She always has and always will be. She always strived to be the complete opposite of her biological mother yet unfortunately things didn't go to plan. She loves guys (and maybe girls, too) and seems to be addicted to sex. Despite this she can still have normal, joking conversations with her friends. Kitty finds it hard to stick to one boy, and that's a reason why she stays away from relationships.

HISTORY:
Kathryn Lillian Watson was born on a lovely summers day to loving parents who were proud of their little girl. Alas, no matter how many times Kathryn tells herself this she knows it's not true. Rose Watson had barely left school when she became pregnant with Kathryn aged just eighteen. She did not know who the father was, having been severely drunk when she met the man. Needless to say the shock of finding out she was having a baby when she could barely look after herself nearly drove the young woman mad. Rose Watson had come from a very poor background, having been kicked out of her home when she was sixteen due to her appalling behaviour. For the first few months of the pregnancy Rose relied on prostituation to buy the food and clothes she would need. She hated this life but had no other option.

When Kathryn was born Rose was in a state. She no longer had a home or family and couldn't care less about her newborn child: she picked the names Kathryn Lillian purely because they sounded nice. It was a mistake of the hospital staff to let the bedraggled woman home with her baby, especially as it was obvious she was suffering from post-natal depression. Depression that seemed to last for the seven years that Kitty spent with her mother. Kathryn had a very neglected childhood, living in a rundown apartment and witnessing her mother bringing different men home every night of the week. She could never understand why her mother knew so many people, and regardless of the hate she suffered she never stopped loving her mother. Finally, at the age of seven the social services decided to intervene and take Kathryn away. She screamed, kicked and cried yet her mother couldn't care less about the situation. This was when the young girl realised the truth and hated her mother.

It didn't take very long for Kathryn to be adopted, she was a gorgeous little girl who was shy and unwilling to speak. A couple named Jonathan and Christine Moore were unable to have children, and when they saw the little girl they both fell in love with her instantly. Kitty had been taken from a life of poverty and neglect and was suddenly shoved in with a rich family who gave her everything she wanted. Kitty adjusted to her new life quickly, and loved her new parents dearly. She was aware that they were not her biological parents yet she still called them mum and dad - something that Jonathon and Christine were ecstatic about. On Kathryn's ninth birthday her parents told her something that she grew so excited about. She had been quite a lonely child, and because the couple were interested in adopting they decided to adopt another seven year old girl as a sister for their daughter. Madison Sharpe was seven when she was adopted by the Moore's, and quickly fell into the family life routine with her older sister.

However, Kathryn's life was far from perfect. She still had nightmares of her biological mother, and as she grew older she realized what all those different men had been doing with her mother. It mentally scarred Kitty deeply, and she went through a major rebellious stage. This was made worse by Christine falling pregnant unexpectedly: something that they never thought would happen. Kitty was worried that herself and Madison would be forgotten about, and her behaviour went downhill fast. By the time her younger brother - Matthew - was born, Kathryn's behaviour had taken a turn for the worst. Her grades her slumped and she was constantly getting into fights in school. She refused to listen to anything she was told and constantly disobeyed rules. Despite being close to Madison, her younger sister refused to believe that she would be dumped because of the birth of Matthew, and she still stayed as the perfect daughter.

When Kitty was fourteen years old she lost her virginity when she was out drunk. Since then she has nearly become addicted to alcohol and guys. She went against everything that her parents said, which frustrated them to no end. Kathryn was just seventeen when she went through the same mistake as her mother: falling pregnant. She was shocked and spent days locked in her room, refusing to speak to anyone. She had just accepted the idea of having a baby, and just as she was about to tell Jonathan and Christine, disaster struck. Kitty collapsed, suffering a miscarriage. Her parents were shocked to discover that she had almost been a teenage mum, and no longer have any idea how to deal with Kitty. On top of that Kitty is discovering that she might be bisexual, which scares her immensely.
